The Barracks app for iPhone and iPad

The Barracks is a Veterans Organization that consolidates all resources available in our local community. Our goal is to have information readily available for all our Veterans in the palm of their hands. In todays world, everyone has a cell phone with unlimited amount of resources readily available. All areas from Crisis hotline, Medical Claims assistance, to job assistance programs can be found in one consolidated app. Our easy to use app will allow Veterans to contact and setup various organizations whom offer specific services for their specific need. The app also allows any homeless Veteran find local organizations that will assist in finding adequate temporary shelter in hopes to find permanent housing. The Barracks app is a Veterans one stop shop for all Veteran related information.
The Barracks app also contains 3 special areas that are useful to Veterans every day. The first area is the “discounts” tab. This tab allows Veterans to view local shopping/Food vendors whom offer daily military discounts. Each vendor offering discounts have a direct link to their webpage or social media page for easy viewing. As more vendors are added we will continue to update the app.
The second tab is the “news” tab which allows Veterans to view local events that pertain to Veterans. Inside the events tab, local calendars are updated weekly to ensure the most up to date events. This will allow Veterans to view any upcoming town hall meetings or upcoming events. This also includes fellow Veteran news outlets that focus on Military news and events.
The third tab is the “helpful links” tab. This area will guide you through all the everyday areas we use daily. This area includes your paycheck information, medical benefits, education benefits, and much more. No more searching for the right webpage, we have them all right here in one spot.
